Ha Ha! I am average height, plump & no do not sport a beard since I am a female & yet people consider me a good birder as I can not only stand motionless for hours, but walk for miles - so we need to review our stereotypes. But this post is surely in good humour. Will ask all the tall slender guys in my group to sport beards!!!

This was indeed intended as humor. The male member of this group once tried to grow a beard but failed. Friends referred to the moustache as a “football moustache, eleven on each side.”
